Managing / Importing Wheels

Importing Non-ALCAR brands into the Configurator Each time you want to add/edit your own wheel brands use your archived excelsheets, prefilled with you earlier defined data.

Step 1: Select ALCAR Wheels using ALCAR Selection Sheet

If you want that only a part of the existing ALCAR wheels, which are available at your country's ALCAR establishment,
should be shown in your configurator you have to select/deselect the wheels you want.

Open the sheet: WebSelectionList.xls and then

Step 2: Add / Edit your own Wheel Brands

Generally there are 4 variants possible:

Which Sheets are needed?
1. Connections wheel/car (Most wanted by licensees)
filled sheets ⇒ only wheels.xls
2. Connections wheel/car/accessories kit
filled sheets ⇒ wheels.xls + kits.xls
3. Connections wheel/car/tyres
filled sheets ⇒ wheels.xls + tyres.xls
4. Connections wheel/car/tyres/accessories kit
filled sheets ⇒ wheels.xls + tyres.xls + kits.xls

depending on which data is available for you or which data should be used in configurator.

Complexity grows from 1 to 4.
Only fill out the sheets which are defined as required!!

Please take care to use picturenames with prefix: f.e “yourcompany_wheelname”

Step 3: Make Connections in Connection Sheets

After we have received the ALCAR Selection Sheet and the wheels.xls
you get several connectionsheets seperated into PCD1 and PCD2.

Step 1
All OLD Non-ALCAR brands are removed from the database
Step 2
All NEW Non-ALCAR brands from wheels.xls are added.
Step 3
Connectionsheets are created including only NEW Non-ALCAR brands

The names of the sheets do reflect the content:

ConnList_PCD1_PCD2_partx.xls

does mean that there are inside the Cars with PCD1 and PCD2 f.e ConnList_4_100,0_part1.xls
and also the wheels which fit to them.
