The ALCAR alloy wheel configurator for the Internet is based on the use of a standard PHP and MySQL installation. fdi dm (fabrique d’images digital media) is the IT solution partner, who is responsible for licensing the ALCAR Wheel Configurator to ALCAR partners and to do the individual adaptations in the PHP sources as preferred by the licensees.

A lot of modifications and adaptations are possible in the configurator application. Most of the changes are done as Add-ons. This provides the possibility to upgrade the configurator functionality without repeating all programming changes.

The data are submitted to your website via a dynamic URL (GET Url) for further processing.

• TUEV certificates: downloadable certificates from an external server
• Wheel price: is read by standard out of an CSV File, which is provided by the licensee.
• Car code HSN-TSN (DE): only available in Germany
• Zoom: View the mounted wheel on a zoomed car picture for greater details
• 3D Flash animation/big picture of the selected wheel: See the wheel from different angles and in larger size
• Download car pictures: User can download the picture for archiving or usage in boards
• Download Flash animation
• Tuning combinations: Additionally provides tuning wheel sizes with different front axle and rear axle wheel width.
• Realtime Availability Check: Show Avalability Status of your Warehouse and/or ALCAR Warehouse for each wheel. Status Threshold: Hide wheels depending their availability status.

Use your own template or use the default configurator layout which is included for free. Template programming can be done by yourself, your internet agency (using our documentation) or with additional costs by fdi dm.

• Configurator license fee: 12 months in Advance (invoiced by fdi dm)
• Car picture license fee for ALCAR brands: for free as costs are covered by ALCAR
• Car picture license fee for non-ALCAR brands: 12 months in Advance (invoiced by ALCAR)

are possible and depend on

• minimum duration of contract and
• buying 2 or more licenses.

• Portion of all non-ALCAR brands must not exceed 40% of all wheels or brands, max 3 non-ALCAR wheel brands possible.
• All wheel-car-connections for non-ALCAR brands need to be maintained by yourself via delivered spreadsheets and are NOT part of the data package!
• Costs at fdidm are defined for EACH procedure independent from number of imported brands.
• Additionally a car picture license for each wheel brand is needed to use the car pictures. For the brands AEZ/DEZENT/DOTZ/ENZO ALCAR is paying the license fee.

• The car picture licenses for AEZ/DEZENT/DOTZ/ENZO are paid by ALCAR.
• The car picture licenses fee for non-ALCAR brands have to be paid directly to ALCAR 12 months in advance.
• It has to be paid per non-ALCAR wheel brand which is included in the alloy wheel configurator.
• Important restriction to note: The number of ALCAR brands/wheels always has to be higher than the number of non-ALCAR brands/wheels. Maximum number of non-ALCAR wheel brands is three (“3”).

* Please note that wheel-car-connections for non-ALCAR brands need to be done by yourself and are NOT part of the provided data package.
** This yearly license fee has to be paid per foreign wheel brand that you want to include in the database. The fee has to be paid yearly in advance. If you want to have these costs subsidized by the respective wheel producer, please contact them directly.
